WEEK 4

For Week 4 we were asked to combine our experiences of the workshops together with a word that we chose from a list.

I chose the word (De)construction.

Through this word I chose to explore the idea of a breakup and then reformation of the experience of the city. Into this idea was also the idea of perception and perspective and the breakdown and reconstruction of this from Merleau-Ponty's text. Thus I decided to use an linear 2D image of the towering perspective of the cityscape which then is broken down and formed into an image of the second week model. this is then broken down again and finally reconstructed, rising from the flat board into a 3D balsa model of the same tower, challenging the ideas of perspective and showing this idea of construction and deconstruction.
